The Venue Hire Department is part of the wider commercial team with a department responsibility of generating income and increasing profitability. Reporting to the Head of Events, the Events Administrator will support and facilitate the administrative needs of the department and facilitate the clear communication of information to the wider museum.
The key responsibilities include ensuring all administrative and financial procedures and documentation are maintained at all times and clients receive a polite and professional service. The role also includes assisting the Venue Hire team with event operations on both commercial and internal events and location hire shoots.
Salary, Benefits and Working Hours
The salary for this role is £27,500 per annum. In addition, the post-holder will receive 25 days paid annual leave including bank holidays and 2.5 ‘privilege’ days. Employees are also offered the following benefits:

We are looking for a Retail Assistant with the core mission of delivering the highest standard of customer service to all visitors. The Retail Assistant is welcoming, informative and engaged with the Collection and all it has to offer.
As a brand ambassador the Retail Assistant ensures that the stories about the Collection, exhibitions and merchandise are known to all visitors. Taking a proactive dialogue with visitors, the goal is to raise revenue for the Collection through retail purchases and donations maximising all income and fundraising opportunities.
This role reports to the Buyer and Retail Manager.

The Exhibitions Project Manager will lead on all aspects of the successful organisational management and delivery of specific exhibition and displays from concept through to deinstallation and any onward tour.

The Development Department’s key purpose is to increase the generation of income in order to enable the Collection to achieve its core aims and sustain and increase the supporter base of the museum. Alongside a fundraising revenue income target, the Development Department is seeking to raise funds to create an endowment for the Collection (to reach a £20 million target) and to complete the museum’s Masterplan of capital works.
The Development Officer: Trusts and Foundations role is to assist the department in delivering the revenue and capital targets. Funding from charitable trusts and foundations is essential to the museum. Excellent communication skills and a clear, concise and inspirational writing style when conveying the Collection’s aims and ambitions to potential funders will be key to this role. Supporter care and stewardship also play an important part of the position.
Working closely with all departments at the museum and effective internal communication will be crucial for the success of the post holder. This role reports to the Head of Development.

Gallery Team staff are responsible for ensuring the security and safety of the museum’s collections, staff and visitors whilst providing a high level of customer service. The Gallery Team enforce fire, evacuation and health and safety procedures whilst maintaining high standards of presentation and performance in other areas ranging from providing help to the public to entrance access control. The Wallace Collection is also one of the most popular venues in London for celebrations and special events. Gallery Team members are integral to the successful delivery of these events, in addition to their day to day duties.

Volunteer Hands on Armour Educator
Volunteer Hands on Armour Educator
Volunteer Hands on Armour Educators share their knowledge and enthusiasm by delivering engaging and inclusive hands-on learning sessions for the Collection. They are ambassadors for the Collection, helping visitors to learn about its objects and its history, and to gain an appreciation of arms and armour through the use of handling objects.
Volunteers are supervised by Public Programmes Coordinator, with ongoing support from the Head of Learning and Digital and other Learning colleagues.
You are not paid for your time as a volunteer, but you will be reimbursed for your Travel Expenses within London Travel Zones 1-6.
